Privacy
Memory Nook is designed around private memory-keeping. This page explains what account, archive, billing, and Commons data the service handles.
Updated March 15, 2026
Memory Nook stores the information needed to run the service: account details such as email address, private archive content such as interview and free-talk sessions, and subscription or payment records needed for billing support.
Some operational metadata is also retained, such as timestamps, plan status, usage counts, and support messages sent to the operator.
Your personal archive is private to your signed-in account. Interview sessions, free-talk entries, and Life Map outputs are not published to Commons unless you explicitly choose to contribute public-safe material.
Commons is limited to de-sensitized summaries and public-safe metadata. Users are expected to review contributed material before sharing it publicly.
Memory Nook uses third-party infrastructure providers to run the app and process service operations, including hosting, billing, and transactional email delivery. Stripe is used for subscription billing, and Postmark is used for service email delivery.
These providers receive only the information required for their role in operating the service.
Users can export archive content from the app and can delete or edit session material in the account interface. Public contributions can also be removed by the contributor. If a removal path fails, contact support.
Memory Nook is still in beta. Privacy and data-handling text may be refined as the service matures, but the product direction remains private-first and user-controlled.
